Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSI’s) Luminance Contrast Testing
Australian Standard 1428.4 (2009) requires all TGSI’s to have a minimum of 30% luminance contrast, for discrete TGSI’s this is increased to 45%. This means that the minimum allowable is 30% in the worst possible situation.
Luminos conduct tests in multiple environmental situations to ensure that the minimum allowable contrast ratios are being met. New TGSI’s installations are tested prior to installation to ensure compliance is achievable. Existing TGSI’s must be tested to ensure compliance is also being achieved. This can save your organisation time and money.
